How To Grow Your Blog Traffic

You decided you wanted to make a living writing blogs.

If you had that dream ten years ago, things would be much harder because at that time there were not many stable options to start a blog.

You simply had to focus on Blogger or Wordpress and hope that the server could handle the traffic.

Back then, servers were much slower and very expensive. You needed the traffic to pay the server but at the same time you needed na expensive server to be able to handle that traffic.

Now things are much easier.

Today starting a blog takes less than 5 minutes.

You just go to Blogger.com and register a new blog and start posting content.

A few minutes later you are able to share your first post with the internet and if you share that post on social networks, traffic might come in the next minutes and fast.

Now what you probably noticed is that getting enough traffic to your blog in order to make a living with your blog is a though thing to do. There are hundreds of millions of blogs on the internet and all of them are competing to get the traffic.

Even though Google servers more than 2 billion search queries per day, it’s still hard enough to get traffic from that search engine.

Facebook is over saturated (completely) with posts so today people don’t even pay attention to Facebook posts. To make things worse, Facebook tweaked the algo to make pages’ posts appear less times on the newsfeed.

What is the solution?

Long term traffic is almost always traffic from search engines, direct traffic and other people’s shares on the social networks.

That’s the most important source of traffic.

To get that kind of traffic you need to have stellar content that people love to read and share. That’s the business my friend.

About 90% of my time as a blogger is writing more and more content. Content is the most importante thing your blog can have.

Not all content is the same.

I know a website with more than 2 million posts that is now gone. It probably had more content than any other website but because the contente quality was so low, people simply did not like to visit it and the site closed.

Think about it. 2 million posts and no traffic.

Content quality is the very most important thing in the blogging business. Quality always above quantity and anything else.

When working on your blog the most important thing you should focus is content quality.

There are thousands of posts that say how to get more traffic with social networks, Youtube, sharing content and all the other things but content quality is simply the best way to improve your results.

If you can maintain content quality and only after quality you can be able to post more, you can see your blog traffic go up every month.
